A Brief History
The first four and eight track cartridges were developed way back in 1952. The endless loop tape cartridge was the first system inside a cartridge, previous tapes had been open reel audio.
Later the birth of Stereo 8 track cartridge was developed in 1962 called The Lear Jet stereo 8 track cartridge. Big corporations started to produced both players and recorders for popular home and profesional recording.
Giant catalogue houses started to release many music titles which were a success for home and in car players.
