Douglas brings 25 years of experience to the dynamic world of media, offering expert video production services for residential and commercial real estate, and more.

His family has a remarkable legacy in broadcast television. Douglas's late father, John Kilpatrick, was a broadcast television engineer and electronics designer with 30 years of global experience, even helping set up television stations worldwide. As a child, Douglas was always fascinated by TV, and by his teens, he was spending summer holidays in studios, mesmerized by the colossal cameras and broadcast machines. This early exposure laid the foundation for his future in video. In his early 20s, he bought his own video camera and editing equipment, producing and editing videos for himself and others.

This passion led him to graduate in Multimedia Design, and he remains dedicated to learning new skills and embracing new media technology. Douglas established Vintage Media Transfers to address a critical need: the lack of quality video archiving and restoration. Tired of seeing "low-end consumer conversions" run by amateurs, he committed to a higher standard. He offers a premium, bespoke professional service that goes far beyond basic copying. The goal is to take your raw footage and transform it into polished, expertly edited, and colour-graded digital master files that are better than the original. This comprehensive service also includes converting various audio and cine film formats, even the rarest ones, to digital.
