Philips N1500 Transfer and Restoration
A Brief History
The Philips VCR was introduced in 1972 and was the first consumer video recorder.The N1500 tapes had three lengths 30 45 and 60 mins recording times.
These VCRs were very expensive at the time and few consumers could afford them. However Schools and other professionals were quick to see the aid in teaching and recording.
Other models were introduced in the N1500 line up including N1502 and 1512.

Can my tapes be mastered to Blu-Ray
If you upscale any SD consumer format to HD it will only be upscaled via the broadcast hardware but better in HD still not true HD as it was filmed in SD. Sample Philips N1500 photos here are fully restored tape baked recordings. See video page.
